Rhombicosidodecahedron Felt Ball

This beautiful geometric ball was carefully hand sewn from high quality wool/rayon felt and then firmly stuffed with plastic pellets. The felt gives the ball a nice texture that is pleasing to the hand. The ball measures approximately 2 1/2 inches in diameter and weighs 3.25 oz.

The geometric shape of this ball is called a Rhombicosidodecahedron. It is comprised of 12 pentagons, 30 squares, and 20 triangles. It is an Archimedean solid.

The ball has wonderful tactile feel and a firm weight. Due to the natural characteristics of felt a bit of loosening up of the ball's firmness is to be expected with normal wear and tear. The ball is sturdy and should last for years, but vigorous or roughshod play should be avoided, expecially anywhere near pets.
